Aidan Rhiannon. The patriarch, so to speak. Though he doesn't look it. A thief by profession, who makes a living as a trapper now that he's retired from the pocket picking business. Born a human on Earth, made Aerian by the world magic, and turned into a vampire when still quite young.

Aidan "Darkangel" Rhiannon. The mirror opposite of Aidan Rhiannon. Originally a good, if selfish man. Corrupted by Mirror Flame Song. Eventually changed his ways after meeting his double and realizing how miserable he was. Is also a vampire, having turned himself into one deliberately during his evil years. Is currently in a relationship with Flame Song (3), on yet another alternate world. He is a magician of some power, and is currently at Grand Master level. He is bisexual* and is the Aidan seen in Blood Choice.

Alan Rhiannon. Aidan and Flame's third child, Arthur's twin brother. Although he was definitely fathered by Aidan, he is a pure firecat, for reasons nobody is quite sure of.** He is also a shape shifter, but spends more time than anybody else except maybe Flame Song herself in firecat form. He is a throwback, called a Phoenix Child, that turns up occasionally in Flame Song's family line. This means that he is a true immortal and cannot be killed. (Like the real phoenix, he always rises from his own ashes.) He is also a world walker, able to travel between realities by instinct. His cub name was Phoenixflare.

Ariana Rhiannon. Flame and Aidan's oldest daughter. Half firecat/shape-shifter, half aerian. Her natural form is a humanoid feline with wings, but once she reached adulthood she chose to blend in a little better and usually goes in aerian shape. Married to the farmer Jonathan, she is also a member of the Queen's Own (called the Clan in most of my older writing.) Her cub name was Littlespark.

Arthur Flash Rhiannon. Aidan and Flame's second child, Alan's twin brother. He is also a half firecat/shape-shifter, half aerian. He wears whatever form suits him, generally matching the species of whatever woman he's currently seducing. He never married, and has never stayed in one place or done one thing for long. He usually goes just by Arthur, the "Flash" was because he thought it was cool at the time. He used it through his teenage years but eventually dropped it. His cub name was Firedart.

Celia. A human girl originally kidnapped by Mirror Flame Song in order to help in the corrupting of Aidan Rhiannon, she fell in love with Aidan Darkangel when he reformed and left off being evil. They were married, and together raised his daughter. She was always a little afraid of his vampirism though, which fear she passed to her adopted daughter Shadowfire. Died of old age.

Damien Rhiannon. Aidan's child by a human adventurer named Shauna. Aidan and Flame found out he existed not long after he was born, and for a few years they traveled to Shauna's home town to visit him regularly. Shauna died when he was still just a child. Rather than leave him orphaned, Flame adopted him, and he was raised along with his half siblings.

Firedart Rhiannon. See Arthur Flash Rhiannon.

Flame Song Firedancer. The matriarch. A bard by profession, and a huntress by life-time inclination. Born a firecat on a world very, very far away, made a shape-shifter by the world magic. A good person. The kind of person looked up to by pretty much everybody who knows her.

Flame Song (Mirror). The utter opposite of Flame Song Firedancer. She is completely evil. Thinks torture is fun, enjoys corrupting others and was making a game of keeping Aidan Darkangel in a horrifically abusive relationship as long as she could.

Flame Song (3) An alternate version of Flame Song, whose early life was much like the original, but whose later life was changed because she never joined the Queen's Own, never met Aidan, (her reality hasn't got an Aidan version) and then was stalked by Aidan Darkangel, who was convinced that they were fated to love. He eventually gave up the stalking, but not before causing her a great deal of trouble. They are now together after a complicated series of events that I can't begin to explain here. She is the Flame Song seen in Blood Choice.

Littlespark Rhiannon. See Ariana Rhiannon.

Phoenixflare Rhiannon. See Alan Rhiannon.

Shadowfire Rhiannon. See Serapha Rhiannon.

Shadowfire (Mirror). Daughter of Darkangel and Mirror Flame Song, though she is actually the child of Aidan Rhiannon and Mirror Flame Song. Although technically half firecat/shape-shifter, not only does she stay in aerian form, she can't actually shift, she lacks the magic which her mirror sister uses to help her weak shape-shifting skills along. Raised by Darkangel and his human wife Celia. She died at the age of 17, having refused her father's offer to change her into a vampire and save her life.

Serapha Rhiannon. Aidan and Flame's fourth child, actually the child of Aidan Darkangel, rather than Aidan himself, although she considers him her father, as he raised her. She is technically a half firecat/shape-shifter, half aerian, but she almost never wears any form but aerian form. She takes after her father very strongly. She became a vampire at the age of 17 after an incident with an ice worm that would have killed her. She is also a magic user, which skill she inherited from her genetic father. She married a human inkeeper named Michael Alderman, and later married an alternate reality version of Dracula. (Don't ask.) She eventually was widowed again, and emigrated to the colony world of Eyrie, where she was trapped by the gate collapse. Currently the unofficial consort of the Penterian Emperor Jordanis Irdolow (It's complicated.)

*Everybody else here is pretty much straight, although Serapha has very, very slight leanings in that direction.

**Except me. There is a reason for it, and eventually I'll probably put up that story too.
